The roll-up data challenge

Can we see every office at office grain? Not yet — and here's the honest map

Integrated offices post transactions at office level; recently-acquired ones still record at area/region. The view labels each so actuals are never confused with estimates.

Recently acquired — recorded only at region/area on legacy systems. The office figure is a modeled estimate until cutover.

How AI closes the gap

1 · Resolve the office. Match legacy IDs, brand names and addresses (RFI San Jose = Office 4021 = Pavion West) into one golden office record — you can't roll up what you can't match.

2 · Tag the grain. Every transaction carries its recording level (office / area / region) and a confidence score, so the view shows actuals vs estimates instead of pretending they're the same.

3 · Disaggregate. For area-level postings, a driver model splits the total to offices by install base, headcount, job counts and payroll — weights learned from integrated offices where both grains exist during cutover.

4 · Reconcile & learn. Allocated office sums must tie back to the area total; anomalies and duplicate customers across brands get flagged. As each office integrates, estimates flip to actuals — coverage is now 87% and rising.
